Daniecell

Daniecell “DNCLL” is an Austria-based dancer and choreographer.

She was born in Germany to a Czech father and a Mexican mother. Her dance career started in 1993, when she discovered her passion for music and dance through Latin dance styles such as Salsa and Afro-Cuban Grooves – in keeping with her Latin American heritage. Soon her interest was drawn to the energising urban dance styles such as Breaking, Popping and Locking, which were becoming more and more popular in the Austrian dance scene at that time.

Right after school she completed a private training programme in jazz and modern dance, adding a private Urban Styles certificate in the following years.

In addition to working successfully as a freelance dancer, model and choreographer, she completed her bachelor's degree in theatre, film and media studies at the University of Vienna (Institut für Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft).

Out of her interest in body conditioning and movement studies, she added a certificate as an instructor for sensorimotor stabilisation training (functional fitness / Slingtraining Austria) to round off her education and to be a passionate, trustworthy teacher to her students and followers. She also completed a qualification in leisure education at the University College of Teacher Education Vienna. At the beginning of her career, she took part in numerous Breaking and Hip Hop competitions, repeatedly winning the Austrian women's national titles in Breaking Solo, Popping Solo and Hip Hop Solo, as well as the vice world championship title in Popping Duo (IDO). Daniecell has now been working in dance for more than 20 years and is regarded as a professional, experienced and respected artist in the Central European dance scene.
